Sidhartha Gautama, Buddha
A child, a prince to be, was born in a jungle.
was raised in a palace
to spread the knowledge of freedom
from suffering in this world.
To wipe out unhappiness, anger and revenge,
a man was born in this world amongst men
He was the Sidhartha Gautama
One day, on an outing, the prince saw a sick person
the next day he saw a helpless old man
and then a dead one
he saw the corpse being carried away
thought it was a dream
he left all his wealth behind
he left the palace too
Dealing with suffering
he meditated alone
concentrated years in meditation
discovered the cause of suffering
paved the path of non-violence,
and taught to the violent,
with kindness and compassion
this is how a man became a Buddha
In the midst of men
There is No Greater Buddha than Peace
Many say that there is no one greater than the Buddha,
A lama says that there is no greater Buddha than peace.
He is the one who considers himself a simple monk, the Dalai
Lama.
Many say that there is no greater Dharma than worship,
A lama says that there is no greater Dharma than kindness.
He is the one who considers himself a simple monk, the Dalai
Lama.
Many say that there is no greater joy than victory
A lama says that there is no greater joy than compassion.
He is the one who considers himself a simple monk, the Dalai
Lama.
But, Why Does Mankind Hurt Eachother?
There is but one sky and one earth,
The beginning and the end are the same
There is but one sun and one moon,
The air is the same and so is the water
So, why do humans harm each other?
If our Gods were the same,
if we were from the same religions,
our behavior would be the same our understanding too
with a same nation and the same flag,
and even with the same blood,
So, why do humans harm each other?
There is war somewhere and negotiations,
some are victims and some prisoners,
there are some ready to die, and some to kill,
So, why do humans harm each other?
Our Beloved Dharma Guru, Dalai Lama
Spreading the message of peace.
Our beloved Dharma guru, Dalai Lama.
[Chorus]
Long live our beloved Dalai Lama
May you stand like a smiling Himalayas, our beloved Dalai
Lama
May your good deeds bloom forever
May your path be paved with ease
This is what we wish for, this is what we pray
May your dreams come true
You are the only hope of humanity in this world
You are the only king of good May happiness and peace prevail
everywhere forever
May kindness and compassion prevail in every one forever
We Belong to this Earth
This earth does not belong to us, we belong to it
The earth is the heaven, the earth is the hell.
Everyone’s birth and death happens in this beautiful
earth
Cool air, food and water are all here
The earth is a creation of God, and has bloomed
with care from our ancestors
let’s save this beautiful earth for tomorrow.
The mountains are beautiful to see, the snow is even more
The wilderness and the hills too
There is only one earth, holding the sky and circling the
sea
There is only one earth, giving life and moving life.
We Have One God
We have only one god
Who is neither yours nor mine
The one drawing the line of yours and mine are humans, not
God
Traditions are different, way of life’s are different
Some share happiness, others are jealous
After all there is only one earth, the sun is the same,\
