Develop a treatment philosophy that favors preventive conservation
to minimize proactively the need for physical intervention.
Engage all members of the staff, administration, and board
in the furthering greater awareness of the Museum's treatment
In the event of response requiring physical intervention, clearly
articulate the treatment recommendations as part of the planning
process, Record of Decision and, eventually, Treatment Report.
Review the Museum's treatment philosophy on an ongoing basis.
Articulate the treatment philosophy to colleagues and visitors.
Employ the treatment philosophy in developing recommendations
based on any and all assessment, including, but not limited
to, Conservation Assessments, Preservation Plans, Historic Furnishing
Plans and Historic Structure Reports.
