Line dimension and scale
Goal: To use a scale to dimension lines.
Layout
- Take 8-1/2"x11" blank, white paper, oriented horizontally (landscape).
- Develop 'construction' lines (light guide lines) for layout of lines, as described below.
- Layout
- Start measured lines 2" from the left side of the sheet. End measured lines 1" from the right side.
- Start the topmost line 1" down from top of sheet.
- Space lines 1/2" apart.
- Use 2" space on left to identify (using cap lettering) the measurements and scale for each line, noted below.
- Locate, letter (use guide lines for lettering) the following at top: Your Name, Line Dimension and Scale, HP175 Documentation, Date.

- 20'-9" @ 3/8"
- 12'-3" @ 1/2"
- 80'-6" @ 3/32"
- 6'-6-1/2' @ 1"
- 14'-8" @ 1/2"
- 16'-9" @ 1/4"
- 36'-3" @ 3/16"
- 11'-7" @ 1/2"
- 9'-9" @ 3/4"
- 77'-3" @ 3/32"
- 3'-7-1/2" @ 1-1/2"
- 7'-7-3/4" @ 3/4"
- 19'-11" @ 3/8"
